We are featuring Jen Riley as our London blogger this week. Jen is a beauty junkie in London who works in the world of social media.

Q. Please tell us a little about yourself.

A. My name is Jen, I'm a 20-something girl living and working in London. I write a beauty blog called A beauty junkie in London, which came about as a nice little way to justify my obsession with beauty products! I now write about a bit of everything from latest beauty launches, to fitness, fashion, food and London life.

Q. What inspired you to be a blogger?

A. I first started blogging when I was looking for a creative outlet away from my previous job. Writing online seemed like a good way to be creative and get some good experience at the same time.

Q. What do you blog about & how long have you been blogging?

A. My blog is mostly about beauty, but I also throw in some London life, fashion, food and generally anything that takes my fancy. I've now been blogging for almost four years.

Q. How would you describe your blogging style?

A. I would say my blogging style is basically written in the way I would talk to a friend about a product. I never try to be a beauty expert. I'm just a huge lover of trying out products that make you look or feel better than you did before, so I write about the ones I like and work for me.

Q. How would you define beauty?

A. I could say something a bit cheesy like how beauty is inside us all (which it is)... but when I think of beauty as something I write about it comes down to products or treatments that make you feel better about yourself, so you feel that little bit more confident and happy.

Q. Who are your favourite London bloggers?

A. I have so many favourite London (and elsewhere) bloggers but would have to say The Londoner is one I love at the moment. I am hugely jealous of her hugely glam life but if you love food then the recipes Rose shares are hard to resist!

Other favourites include Liana Beauty Blog - she has hair and a beauty collection to envy and Amelia really knows her stuff. The London Lipgloss written by my friend Zoe – she's not afraid to experiment with her hair which changes almost us much as her favourite music. Last but by no means least What I Heart Today written by the lovely Lily. I love how she mixes beauty, fashion and food. Three of my favourite things!

Q. What does London mean to you?

A. London means a lot to me, I've been living here since I left uni six years ago (eek) and it's where I feel at home, where a lot of my friends are and where I met my boyfriend. I'm lucky to live in one of the greatest cities in the world, and as much as I love to groan about the horrors of the Tube or miserable weather, London really is a special place!

Q. How would you describe London in 3 words?

A. Eclectic, hectic and stylish!

Q. Would you like to share any beauty tips and advice with our readers?

A. When asked for beauty tips the first one that always comes into my head is really boring and basic, but really does work - drink water. Not many people manage to really drink enough, but the difference can really be seen - especially in your skin - when you do!
