When Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal finally hang up their rackets and end their respective tennis careers, they will rightly be remembered as two of the greatest sportsmen to have lived. To date they have collected an astonishing 26 Grand Slam titles between them and have been an integral part of what many observers believe is the greatest era in the history of men’s tennis.

Matches between the players themselves have produced some of the finest moments in sport; the most memorable of these took place in the 2008 Wimbledon Final – the most prestigious event in the sport – when, with Federer aiming to set a new record of winning 6 successive titles, Nadal sealed an incredible victory in five sets.

The game lasted an astonishing 4 hours and 48 minutes, with Nadal clinching the win in the gathering gloom in front of an enraptured audience.

This is just one example of a host of unforgettable memories these two legends of the game have produced. In these programmes we look back on their careers, hearing from those who know them best as well as Federer and Nadal themselves, to provide a unique insight into the achievements of two men who have pushed the boundaries of their sport to new heights.

• With unique access and exclusive interviews, this release offers a fascinating insight into what makes them tick.
