Valentine’s Day, if nothing else, is a day for making money. And cheap marketing comes in the form of free editorial content. So every year dozens of press releases land in journalists’ inboxes. Some even come with a creepy picture of the man or woman behind the product, like this one...

Here are some of the best/worst attempts to tenuously link a product or campaign to Valentine’s Day. In some cases the audacity is actually a thing of beauty.
