Alligators prove a splash at children’s parties

A Florida man reckons parents can snap up a bargain - by renting his animals out for their children’s pool parties.
Bob Barrett runs Barrett’s Alligator Attraction, which sees him offer to bring some of the animals to a customer’s pool party to swim with youngsters in the Tampa area for $175.
He said: “You get to have a pool party with a ‘gator. It’s a very popular party.”
The idea has received something of a mixed reaction from parents
But Mr Barrett tapes the creatures’ mouths up and insists there is virtually no risk of people being bitten because the muscles young alligators use to open their mouths are so weak.
