The beleaguered Thames cable car - so short on visitors its parody Twitter account spends most of the time pleading for friends - may finally have proved its worth.
While everyone else’s attention was focused on the spectacular image taking by a Met police helicopter of Canary Wharf emerging through the mist, some similarly stunning pictures were captured on the Emirates Air Line, and tweeted today by its official account.
Recent figures found the £60million link had just four regular commuters - but if the fog becomes a regular feature of London winters, you can bet anyone without a helicopter will be considering it for their aerial snaps.
