Archant

Guard dogs are usually expected to be ferocious beasts with a penchant for chewing on legs. Mr Dog, however, is rather different.

Watch this heart-warming video of the guard dog at M&R Decorator Supplies in Cardiff who is friendly with passers-by – because he wants them to play ball with him.

The three-year-old Alsatian encourages pedestrians to throw a ball for him, which he then chases.

He appears to have people well trained, with people regularly stopping to throw the ball back over the gate.

Mr Dog has also now become something of an internet star.

He has his own Facebook and Twitter accounts, and it is said people have travelled from as far afield as London to throw the ball.

As well as this video on YouTube, Mr Dog has also become the subject of a new short film.
