Londoners are happy to give tourists advice like 'stand on the left on escalators'

Helpful London residents have been advising a person who asked “where are all the super secret place only Londoners hang out?”

Someone with the username ‘Limeguy’ posed the question on Reddit and followed it up with the demand “Basically plan my entire trip/stay for me? Also I want to find a pub, that’s all the information I have. ARGGHHHHH.”

City dwellers, ever keen to help a person in need, responded with answers including: “There’s this big wheel south of the Thames -- you can pay to go around it and get a great view. Not many people know about it,” and “If you can’t get a seat on the tube; just sit on someone’s lap.”

Reddit user Fellout Boy then chipped in with more sage offerings: “There’s a lane over by Liverpool Street where every single curry house serves the greatest Bangladeshi/Indian cuisine in London at incredibly reasonable prices. A very relaxing way to spend the evening.

Make sure to have a conversation with every man who invites you into their establishment. If you wear a remarkable hat you can get discounts and other special offers.”

And Codeduck added: “Stand on the left of the escalator - it’s like driving a car, you overtake on the right.”
