This beautiful video shows how someone had a busy bank holiday weekend filming and editing east London in all its glory, shooting underwater, on the ground and way up in the air.

Starting at Hackney Empire, the camera rises up through the trees to give a brief glimpse of the vast city skyline before spinning past skateboarders, swan boats, BMX riders and a fun fair.

The video, called East London From The Air was uploaded to YouTube yesterday by Magnus Honeyborne and Matthew Whitworth.

Some of the sights include The Pagoda in Victoria Park and London Fields Lido, where the camera even plunges in with a diver.

A shot of the “rest in peace Peaches” graffiti in Brick Lane proves the video was taken in the last two weeks and makes for a poignant moment perfectly accompanied by ambient music from David O’Brien and Gareth Johnson.

A beautiful sunset shown from different angles provides a special end to the journey.
