Received a text from a man and don’t know what he means? Never fear, a new website promises to help you decode messages and see into your (prospective) man’s mind.

Juliette is among those who have asked for advice on HeTexted.Juliette is among those who have asked for advice on HeTexted.

HeTexted invites people to send in texts they have received from men, and outline the situation.

Visitors to the site then offer advice, and also vote on whether or not the man in question is “into” the person he has texted.

One user, Juliette, wrote in after she met a man called Jeff R in a bar and “clicked immediately” with him. She said: “His friend was out and so was my friend Ali. Now he texted me but he’s asking me to bring Ali out? Be honest, do you think he’s into me at all? The whole thing is very embarrassing...”

Twenty people have voted that Jeff R is into her, while 920 have voted in the “he’s not into you” category.

Advice offered by one reader said: “Could be that he’s asking for you to bring Ali for his friend so you can all hang out again, but he’s terrible at communication. I would say go out with Ali and make sure you both look good.

“Then casually run into them and say what’s up but don’t put any effort into chasing him. You should be able to figure out if it’s you or Ali he’s interested in by how he acts at the bar.”

Another said: “‘Ok’? If he’s into you, he’d say something nice about you in return. He ain’t interested. Plus who cares about Ali? Sheesh.”

HeTexted also has an Ask A Bro section, where men offer advice via email. One of the “bros”, Mason, said: “They call me the Dude Whisperer. Seriously. Is a dude acting weird and you need help deciphering his messages? Or maybe he’s sending you mixed signals. No worries.

“Send me the details and I’ll take care of the rest. And don’t even think about texting him until we’ve figured out what to respond and when.”
