Gorillaz co-creator Jamie Hewlett has been working on a London-inspired design for a new vodka bottle.
The Absolut limited edition bottle features characters that represent a unique take on London’s style and fashion pioneers.
The designer, who also created the comic Tank Girl, has a deep affection for the capital and used London as his inspiration..
“I like London because it’s dirty, it’s crowded,” Hewlett said in the above video.
“I like Londoners and I’ve always found it quite exciting. I find it a quite inspiring place.
“I was always drawn to west London because I was a big fan of The Clash.
“I worked in a studio under Westway and the roof was a section of the motorway.”
Set against a London backdrop, the bottle introduces key characters from the past who have influenced and shaped London’s present fashion scene.
The seven characters encapsulate the city’s diverse heritage, spanning the ages from Dickensian and 18th Century dandy, through to pinstripe gent, 60s chick, ska , punk and 80s casual.
