Pink Panther actor Herbert Lom died at his London home this morning at the age of 95 - see here for a reminder of him in action.

The Czech-born actor played Inspector Clouseau’s fed-up boss Charles Dreyfus in the popular series - first appearing in A Shot in the Dark in 1964.

Born in Prague, Lom trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and made his English language acting debut in Mein Kampf - My Crimes in 1940.

Over the course of a long career appeared in more than 100 films including classics such as Spartacus, El Cid and The Ladykillers.

His most notable roles included the portrayal of Napoleon Bonaparte on two occasions, one of which was the screen adaptation of Tolstoy’s War And Peace.
