London Dungeon to sell unwanted stock at Pimlico Car Boot sale

The London Dungeon is to sell off old stock at a car boot sale next month to mark its move to new premises.

The attraction will close the doors on its Tooley Street site on January 31 and reopen in County Hall in the Southbank in March.

They will bring in new costumes, theatrical sets and props, so will make surplus items available to regular visitors.

Among the stock up for sale are torture and surgical implements, “severed limbs”, costumes, and a stash of false eyeballs.

General manager Ben Sweet said: “When we move, we’re not just changing address, we really are creating something totally new so inevitably we have rather a lot of items from Tooley Street that need re-homing.

“Rather than sell them all off to a theatre prop shop or museum we decided to let fans have a chance to own a bit of our horrible history and they will be able to plunder our very unusual car boot stall for a London Dungeon bargain.”

The London Dungeon’s car boot stall will be at the Pimlico carboot sale, Lupus Street, London, SW1V 3AT, from 11.30am until stock sells out on February 3.
