Depending on your viewpoint, a new exhibition at London’s Science Museum is either a nightmare or a fantasy vision of the future.

Address: Exhibition Road, London, SW7 2DD
Opening hours: Daily 10am to 6pm, except December 24-26
Phone: 0870 870 4868
Web: www.sciencemuseum.org.uk
Between December 1 and 4, Robotville will play host to more than 20 robots, many of which have just come out of European research labs and will be on show to the British public for the first time.
Roboticists, from the UK and Europe, will also be on hand to demonstrate their work and talk to visitors.
As well as celebrating cutting-edge design and innovation, the event also aims to get people thinking about a world where robots are part of everyday life.
Could a robot carry out domestic duties? Would you play with a pet robot? Could a robot talk to you? Fancy meeting your robot self face to face?
The Robotville exhibition at the Science Museum will give a glimpse into a world we may share with humanoid robotsStuart Umbo, content developer at the Science Museum, said; “Robotville explores how robots will become an inherent part of life in the future.
“It explores how the idea of robots has pervaded our culture for hundreds of years but is only now becoming a reality.”
Robotville, which has free admission, opens the Science Museum’s month-long celebration of robots consisting of talks, workshops, art installations and more.
