Foot reading: Top 10 tips on what your feet reveal about you and your personality

Have you ever wondered what your feet say about you?
Im not talking about them gossiping behind your back, but rather what looking at them may reveal about your past and your personality.
It's claimed that it's possible to tell a lot about a person simply by examining their feet.
Rather than be repulsed by feet as many people are, Jane Sheehan is a leading foot reader who likes getting up close and personal to see what secrets these limbs reveal about their owner.
Here she shares her top 10 foot reading tips to discover what your feet and toes say about you.
Little toe on its side
If your little toe is on its side with the nail facing the wall instead of the ceiling then you are unconventional, rebellious; it's my way or the highway!
Second toe (next to the big toe) shaped narrow at the base and wide at the tip
If the base of your second toe (where it joins the foot) is much narrower than the tip, then whatever you're feeling, you will express it much bigger than you feel it. So if you're in a good mood it's great to be around you but if you're in a bad mood, run for cover! In other words, you have 'drama queen' tendencies!
Third toe tilted so nail faces towards the little toe
You're great at forward planning in terms of what you're doing. You're able to look ahead and consider the next steps.
Hard skin around the outside edge of the heel
This indicates that you are feeling insecure about how you want to move forward and take the next steps.
Massive toe pads
If you are blessed with massive toe pads then you are a very deep thinker and you like to consider everything carefully.
Long necks to the toes
When viewing the sole of the foot, if the necks of the toes look long, then you are very expressive. You can talk for England!
Tendon showing at base of big toe when feet at rest
If just your big toe tendon shows when you are sitting in a chair with your feet flat on the floor, then you are self-disciplined.
Gap second to third toe
If there is a gap between the top of the second and third toes then you are keeping your emotions separate from what you are doing. There are two reasons why this may be so. This could be because your work role requires detachment or it could be because you're not enjoying what you are doing.
Little toe separates from fourth toe
Spread out your toes. Can you separate your little toe from your fourth toe? The degree to which you can separate the little toe from the fourth toe is the degree to which you are adventurous, need constant change, and hate routine. If things get too routine you'll deliberately upset the apple cart to see what's going to happen.
Little toe can't separate from fourth toe
If you can't separate your little toe from your fourth toe then you need routine for your sense of security. You are loyal, reliable, and trustworthy and don't want too many surprises. We could set our clocks by you!
I had the interesting and enlightening experience of a foot reading with Jane when I attended at media event for the launch of the new shoe floor at the revamped Charing Cross branch of fashion and homeware retailer TK Maxx.
I went along feeling more than a little sceptical about the reading, my cynicism at the same level it gets for TV psychics and other purveyors of mumbo-jumbo.
I expected Jane to rattle off some vague and generic personality traits, possibly scoring a couple of lucky guesses while being wide of the mark with the rest.
However, her analysis was more detailed than I expected, and surprisingly she got a lot more things right about me than she got wrong.
From looking at the top and bottom of my feet and toes she was able to deduce I am rotten at delegating work, can be very bull-headed, have a strong inner child and various other things which I wanted to dismiss but which were actually right on the money.
I suppose if you tell someone enough things it's likely that some of them will be accurate to some degree, but it was uncanny how many things Jane got right and how accurate her assessment of me was.
Overall, a slightly unnerving but fascinating experience. It seems my feet can reveal a lot about me.
