Who are you and where are you from?

We are Ruff Roses, a fresh new band from East London.

Where and how did you meet?

Both lead singers met 10 years ago in an urban performing arts school and have been best friends ever since. Met the rest of the band through networking.

What are your musical influences?

Each member comes from a different background which influences our sound, from No Doubt (first albums) to Chase n Status to Pendulum to Rihanna to Moloko .

How would you describe your sound?

Rock infused with drum n bass, dub and funk

Has your music evolved over time? If so, why?

Weve only been together a couple of months and already were creating a new exciting sound that has evolved from when we started, as we just had an idea, but not sure how to translate it to music as it hasnt been really done before. I think we are starting to perfect that sound.

What is your biggest achievement or claim to fame thus far?

Weve only been together a couple of months, so the biggest thing weve had at the moment was to play at Waldstock Festival 2011 which was a great turnout. Therell be bigger.
