The first batch of tickets for a festival celebrating the music of every country taking part in London 2012 will be released tomorrow.

Tickets will be available from 9am for the Americas Stage of the BT River of Music, a two-day festival taking place across six stages along the River Thames on the weekend of July 21 and 22.

Each stage will represent a different continent, and artists representing every nation competing in the Games will take part.

The Americas stage, at the Tower of London, will feature a range of musical styles from salsa, reggae and swing to blues, jazz and rock.

On Saturday, July 21 artists playing include Scissor Sisters, Roberto Fonseca and Jazz at Lincoln Centre Orchestra featuring Wynton Marsalis.

Artists taking to the stage on Sunday, July 22 include Carlinhos Brown, Ondatrópica and Aurelio Martinez.

Tickets are free from www.ticketmaster.co.uk but there is a £3 booking fee per ticket.

BT River of Music is part of the London 2012 Festival and is supported by National Lottery Funds through the Olympic Lottery Distributor and Arts Council England.
