US singer Madonna has revealed she is a huge fan of British singer Adele.
The ‘Queen of pop’ had hoped to have the Tottenham-born 23-year-old perform alongside her at the Super Bowl earlier this year.
“I would love to. I would love to meet her, I think she’s brilliant, I love her,” Madonna said.
“I think she was having her throat problem or throat operation or something [at the time of the Super Bowl].”
However the 53-year-old admitted she is unaware of pop group One Direction.
The British/Irish group have conquered charts around the world after finishing third in 2010’s X Factor and became the first British group to debut at number one in the US last month.
“That’s a pop group, right? Sorry,” the 53-year-old star told Daybreak.
After she was informed that they are a British chart band, she said: “I haven’t seen them yet, no, sorry. Slap my hand.”
