David Beckham is to join Del Boy and Rodney in a special Only Fools and Horses sketch for Sport Relief.

The retired football star will appear in the show, which will be the first time in ten years the wheeler-dealer Trotter brothers have got back together, as part of the night of comic fundraising on BBC1 in March.

The pair last reunited for a Christmas special in 2003.

In the sketch Beckham – who was born in Leytonstone, east London - is seen sitting with the duo in a greasy spoon cafe, gathered around a table on which there is a copy of the Peckham Echo.

Viewers will see the short film during the broadcast on Friday March 21. The evening will also feature a Strictly Come Dancing special with a number of sporting stars.

Becks has taken part in previous broadcasts for the charity night, including a 2012.
