Daniel Craig reportedly sent Adele a package of baby gifts because he was thrilled when she agreed to sing the theme song for Skyfall.

The 44-year-old put together some limited edition memorabilia from the film for her five-week old son.

“They included an Aston Martin car in miniature - an exact replica of the one Daniel drove - and some Tom Ford designer babygros for her son. Tom designed the entire wardrobe for Daniel in the new film,” a source told the Daily Star.

“There were also exclusive framed photographs, a set of Martini glasses and an Omega watch.

“Daniel has the utmost respect for Adele and her work.

“He loved it that she came in very early to the set before filming had begun.

“She was the ultimate professional and he’s thrilled she’s a new mum.

“He sent her a handwritten letter with the gifts.”

Daniel, 44, has previously revealed he loved the song so much he cried while listening to it.

He said: “When Adele’s name came up I jumped at it. I just said: ‘We have to get her.’

“She has the voice and the tone that we wanted.

“I cried. From the opening bars I knew immediately, then the voice kicked in and it was exactly what I’d wanted.

“It just got better and better because it fitted the movie. In fact the more of the movie we made, the more it fitted.”

Undated handout photo issued by Battersea Dogs & Cats Home of Bless with Geoff and Sylvia Shoesmith, of Chelmsford, Essex. The mournful-looking stray which was thought to be putting potential adopters off with her hangdog expression has finally found a home. PRESS ASSOCIATION Photo. Issue date: Wednesday August 27, 2014. Bless was the most long-term resident at Battersea, with staff believing the lack of interest was down to the doleful dog's permanently sad expression. But following publicity, the Shoesmiths leapt at the chance to take the six-year-old in after being drawn to her loving personality and calm, kindly temperament. See PA story ANIMALS Sad.
