Television presenter and fashion expert Gok Wan enjoys the challenge of his new shows.

The How To Look Good Naked presenter, who has also written fashion guides and has his own range of beauty products, has recently moved away from his fashion related programmes with Gok Cooks Chinese earlier this year.

He also recently signed up to present a new Channel 4 dating show.

Gok is thrilled he has been allowed to try his hand at different genres and appreciates the faith shown in him by the station’s bosses.

Speaking to BANG Showbiz, he said: “They (Channel 4) offer me projects and if I like the sound of them and if they kind of sit with my ethos or what I’m doing then that’s what I tend to do. I always like to have a new challenge.”

Gok, 38, describes dating show Baggage as a “real challenge” for him but also a lot of fun

When asked if he wants to explore any other areas of TV in the future, he replied: “I’ve kind of covered most areas at the moment, it feels like. Maybe along the lines of a chat show in the future but not for a long time - I’m still finding my feet.”

The style guru has just become the ambassador for the Vodafone World of Difference programme, which offers 500 people the chance to work for two months for a UK based registered charity of their choice and get paid.

Although he is diversifying his career, Gok stays true to his fashion roots and receives hundreds “if not thousands” of pleas from fans every week.

He revealed: “Every now and then I’ll hold a style master class on Twitter for an hour, then questions, and I try and answer as many as I can.”
