Former Bethnal Green and Bow MP Oona King will get her skates on and take part in the next series of Dancing on Ice.

The Labour peer is currently in training for the ITV show, which will start its new series in January, according to The Sun.

King, 45, who lost her seat to George Galloway and the Respect Party in 2005, was defeated by Ken Livingstone in a bid to become Labour’s London mayoral candidate at the last election.

She will join the likes of TOWIE’s Lauren Goodger and former Wales rugby star Gareth Thomas on the show.
