It’s the biggest night of the year for the mainstream film industry, so the pressure for celebs to look their best (or just simply make an impression) is on at the Oscars.

And so when eyes weren’t on London-born director Steve McQueen, whose 12 Years a Slave picked up best picture, Matthew McConaughey (best actor) or Cate Blanchett (best actress), they often turned to the sartorial.

• Adapted screenplay: John Ridley for 12 Years A Slave

• Original screenplay: Spike Jonze for Her
