Rihanna opted to leave the skimpy outfits in the wardrobe and turn up the style as she launched her movie debut in London.

The We Found Love singer wore a knee-length olive dress and heels as she posed overlooking the River Thames in London, alongside co-stars Brooklyn Decker and Taylor Kitsch.

Rihanna, 24, revealed she was single as she promoted new action movie Battleship after bristling at being probed about her private life.

“I’m happy and I’m single,” she said after grumbling about the line of questioning.

The Barbadian star plays Petty Officer Cora Raikes in the new movie which pits the US Navy in a battle against alien invaders.

Rihanna revealed that she spent many years looking into space looking for other life forms when she was growing up.

“My dad used to make me sit outside on the steps all night long looking for a UFO flying by and I really used to do that for years,” she said.

But she was unable to spot anything suspicious. “I saw a falling star once and I thought yesss dad come and see one - it just darted.”
