Actor Robert Pattinson has been nominated for an award - as worst lead actor in a film for his role in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2.

The London-born actor has been nominated for a Razzie, the annual spoof of the Oscars which awards the worst performances and films from the past year.

The final film in the Twilight series leads the way at the Razzies, with 11 nominations, including worst picture, lead acting slots for Kristen Stewart and Pattinson and supporting acting nominations for Taylor Lautner and Ashley Greene.

Other worst-picture nominees are the naval action tale Battleship, the family flick The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure, Adam Sandler’s raunchy dud That’s My Boy and Eddie Murphy’s comedy flop A Thousand Words.

The Razzies announcement comes a little more than a day before the Oscar nominations. Razzie winners will be announced on February 23, the night before the Oscar ceremony.
