It might not have been the easiest week for David Cameron but Downing Street is already in the fundraising mood for Comic Relief.

The Prime Minister’s official Twitter account tweeted a picture of his wife Samantha baking cakes ready to sell to the team at Number 10 as Red Nose Day comes closer.

She even made the extra effort with a red wig, while the kitchen was dotted with Comic Relief balloons.

“Chaos in the kitchen this morning, my family baking for @rednoseday,” he wrote.
