The Only Way is Essex star Chloe Sims has admitted she wanted to die when she couldn’t heat her own home just after having her daughter Madison.

In her book The Only Way is Up she said she wanted her life to end when six-year-old Madison was younger.

She said: “One morning, I woke up feeling terrible but I couldn’t afford not to go to work. So I dragged myself out of bed. It was freezing, so I put on a long sheepskin coat over my dress and got into my car. I set off and after a few minutes I realised there was something wrong and finally it broke down.

“I just stood there in the middle of the road, crying. I just couldn’t see a way out - I wanted someone to run me over so it would all go away.”

The 31-year-old brunette insists she had “failed” to be a good mother when she was younger because her and Madison’s house was more like a “squat” than a family home.

She added: “My plans to be a good mum had failed: I had hit rock bottom. My house was like a squat and I desperately needed to move out.”
