Fans of Katy Perry got a surprise when the star turned up at a London screening of her new film.

An invited audience was at the Apollo West End cinema for a sneak preview of Katy Perry: Part of Me, unaware the singer would be putting in a personal appearance.

The crowd cheered and clapped as she made her way into the auditorium, where she also handed out 3D glasses and popcorn.

Also this week, Perry has been in London for an appearance on the Graham Norton Show and has been spotted partying with Florence and the Machine guitarist and former beau Rob Ackroyd, sparking rumours of a reunion.
