BGT judge hopes Simon Cowell doesn’t dump her after grand final

Britain’s Got Talent leaves our screens tonight – but judge Alesha Dixon already is poised to pester supremo Simon Cowell for a spot on the next series of the hit ITV talent show.

Dixon could not resist comparing ITV’s primetime telly success to arch-rival broadcaster BBC’s own show on which she featured – insisting she has had “the time of my life” on the commercial station.

She said: “If I’m asked back I’d jump at the chance. I’ve loved all the banter between the judges and all the crazy dancing in our seats during performances. That never happened on Strictly Come Dancing.”

“Britain’s Got Talent is amazing. It’s end-of-pier, crazy and credible. Acts like Ryan and The Loveable Rogues give the show a contemporary and cool feel. I’ve had the time of my life.”

The live final of Britain’s Got Talent is on ITV1 at 7.30pm tonight (Saturday).
