Dance students turned the area in front of St Paul’s Cathedral into a stage as they performed a new work for the City of London Festival.
The group of 10 dancers from The Central School of Ballet showcased Tilt, created by renowned choreographer and dancer Marc Brew and commissioned specially for the festival.
The 15-minute piece, performed twice yesterday, explores conflict and resolution within the ever-changing city landscape, drawing on moments shared between people in a dynamic clash of tango music, dance and the outdoors.
The dancers, all under the age of 18, performed in contemporary costumes of shirts with bow ties and karate shoes.
