London-born rap star Dizzie Rascal thinks festivals just cannot compete with intimate gigs.
Speaking about his performances at Ibiza and Mallorca Live at clubs last week, the ‘Holiday’ star said: “It’s better because you just make that connection straight away and when you’ve got the connection it’s just love from there.
Making a connection with fans is much more difficult when in a muddy field in front of up to 100,000 people.
“The vibe is the same as a big festival. I see moshpits, lunatics jumping around. It just felt the same, but closer, it felt a bit better,” insisted Rascal – who grew up in east London.
You’ll get knocked around, you’ll get sweaty, it’s the most fun. It’s just euphoric man, it’s love, that’s all it is.”
