The Duchess of Cambridge and Simon Cowell are the two famous people whose smiles Londoners most admire.

The former Kate Middleton was voted for by 30 per cent of London women in a survey of 1,000 people on which celebrity has the best teeth.

Also in the capital, 28 per cent of men voted for X Factor mogul Cowell.

Overall in the poll, movie actor Tom Cruise had the teeth men would most covet, while women were most fond of the royal sparklers belonging to Prince William’s wife.

The results follow recent research which showed more than 64 per cent of Britons are eager to follow in famous footsteps and also improve their smile with teeth whitening.

The smile poll was carried out to coincide with the release of Nokia’s new white Lumia 900 smartphone.

This weekend a free teeth whitening is being offered with every purchase of the phone at the Phones4U store in Oxford Street.
