Shon Jirgens recommends five great events taking place across London to celebrate Bonfire Night.
On Saturday, November 2 head to Blackheath for one of the largest free events in the city. The funfair opens at 4pm for the kids with food, drink, and other stalls from 5pm.
The main fireworks display starts at 8pm and is sure to impress, but get there early as it usually attracts around 100,000 revellers.

North London sees Alexandra Palace’s popular fireworks display return with a bang after a four-year hiatus.
The family-friendly event will be held on Saturday, November 2, with gates opening at 2pm and the main display starting at 8pm.
With a huge range of attractions including an ice rink, German Bier festival, family fair, and street food Alexandra Palace’s Fireworks display is one not to be be missed.
Early bird tickets are still available - £4 for children and £6 for adults.
Richmond’s annual family fireworks display takes place on Sunday, November 3 at Richmond Athletic Ground from 4.30pm.
This year’s display theme is The Best of The Beatles, but before the crackers go off there will be an abundance of live entertainment on stage from acts including boy bands and dance troupes.
The main firework display starts at 7pm with the after party for 8pm.
Advance tickets are priced at £25 for a family ticket (two adults and up to four children), £10 for a Grandstand seat, £8 per adult and £5 for a child (5-15), under 5s are free.
Ealing Cricket Club
Set on the grounds of the beautiful Ealing Cricket Club, this year’s fireworks display is set to dazzle on Saturday, November 2.
The main show will be accompanied by music from stage and screen with tracks from James Bond, Grease, Les Miserable, and Phantom of the Opera.
There will be bars, BBQs, mulled wine and rides for the young ones. Gates open at 6pm with the main display kicking off at 7.30pm.
Admission is £6 per adult, £4 for children under 14. Tickets will be sold on the gates.
Brunel Museum and Railway House
An alternative adults only Bonfire Night Apothecary Special at the Brunel Museum and Railway House in Rotherhithe is set to wow on Saturday, November 2.
Guest can enjoy the charm of the old museum and railway house whilst sipping on cocktails and warming by the fire-pit right next to the Thames.
