Gary Barlow fans were unable to use the toilets or buy drinks during the singer’s concert at the Royal Albert Hall.

The venue’s mains water supply was disrupted just before last night’s show started.

Managers said it eventually went ahead as planned despite the disruption. The X Factor judge sang Eight Letters and Candy and was joined by former Take That bandmate Robbie Williams.

A spokesman for the Royal Albert Hall thanked the audience for its patience.

He said: “Efforts were made to minimise disruption to the audience attending the event and to ensure Thames Water rectified the problem as quickly as possible.

“The Gary Barlow concert continued as planned and the audience were treated to an amazing night of entertainment with a guest appearance from Robbie Williams.

According to today’s Sun, the show itself was in doubt because of the absence of water.

“At the moment, the show’s off - there’s no water in the building and because of health and safety you can’t start a gig without it.

“Hopefully it comes on soon because at the moment I’m not going to be playing tonight.”

A Thames Water spokesman said services were back to normal by 3pm today.

He said: “Today we repaired a faulty valve on our pipe which had reduced the pressure of water entering the Royal Albert Hall.

“We are really sorry to everyone who was inconvenienced by this.”
