Kimberley Walsh would love to dance to a Girls Aloud song on Strictly Come Dancing.

The 30-year-old singer, who has had band members Nadine Coyle and Nicola Roberts watch her in the live shows, is keen to perform a routine to one of the girl band’s songs, but is unsure if it will ever happen.

She said: “I would love to dance to one of our records at some point but I don’t know if it will happen. The Promise would be good, Love Machine would be a good quickstep.”

Walsh, who is partnered with Pasha Kovalev on the BBC One show, has a ballroom routine coming up this weekend, but claims she is not as good at the slower pace.

She said: “I actually love the dance and I love the song that we’re dancing to. The choreography is amazing. It’s starting to come together, it’s quite tricky and I do find the ballroom a lot more difficult, so I’ve got to really focus this week and really hold it together.”

She also reveals she is getting better from the knee injury she suffered.

Speaking on spin-off programme It Takes Two, she said: “The knee is getting much better, we know what’s going on with it now so we can control it.”
