A life-size bronze statue of Amy Winehouse could be put up at the iconic Roundhouse venue near to her former home in Camden, north London.

A spokesman for the venue said: “We think it’s important that Amy’s contribution to music is recognised in Camden, but the idea is in its early stages of development at the moment.”

The Back To Black star was a well-face face at the bars and clubs in the town, until her untimely death in July last year.

She was found dead following a lengthy battle with drink and drugs.

Under plans, the memorial figure will be a life-size bronze and stand on the first-floor balcony next to the Roundhouse bar.

“What we’d like to have is Amy leaning over the balcony and looking, and perhaps pointing, towards Camden Town from Chalk Farm Road,” dad Mitch told the Camden New Journal.
