The five members of One Direction are to co-host a show each on Radio 1 next month.
Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malike, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson, who performed at the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games last month, will team up with DJs from the station when they take to the air for two hours each on October 6.
The shows come ahead of the station’s Teen Awards.
To begin the day, Gemma Cairney will be joined by Liam Payne at 8am. New Radio 1 breakfast presenter Nick Grimshaw will be joined by his friend Harry from 10am.
Scott Mills and Zayn Malik will host from 12pm, with Huw Stephens and Niall Horan taking over at 2pm.
Louis Tomlinson and Greg James will do the final shift, starting at 4pm.
As well as answering phone calls from fans the group, soon to release new single Live While We’re Young, will also be creating their own features for their shows.
One Direction will headline the Radio 1 Teen Awards - honouring inspirational teens and stars from entertainment and sport - at Wembley Arena the following day.
Grimshaw will host the event with performances from Conor Maynard, Taylor Swift and Little Mix.
