Boyband One Direction are to perform to the Queen after being added to the bill for this year’s Royal Variety Performance.
The charttoppers will join the likes of Robbie Williams, Kylie Minogue and Girls Aloud at the event next month, which will be hosted by Britain’s Got Talent judge David Walliams.
Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne, who conquered the US this year, will perform their forthcoming single Little Things which was written by Ed Sheeran.
The Queen will be joined by the Duke of Edinburgh for the 100th anniversary of the event at the Royal Albert Hall on November 19.
Also in the line-up are Rod Stewart, Neil Diamond and Alicia Keys, with the performance to be screened by ITV1 in December.
It will raise funds for the Entertainment Artistes’ Benevolent Fund, helping to maintain its retirement and nursing home in Twickenham.
