The Duchess stunned guests at a reception for law students at the Middle Temple Treasury last week, wearing a sophisticated Paule Ka burgundy wool skirt and jacket.

The timing was perfect for Serge Cajfinger, the man behind the label, coming just before the opening of his Paule Ka flaship store in Mount Street, Mayfair.

The designer told Grazia Daily: “The Duchess is young, beautiful and has a real sense of elegance. I am very happy she wears Paule Ka, she is both a Princess and a modern woman.”

Cajfinger said it was a “wonderful gift” to see her in one of his outfits so close to his store opening.

he added: “She knows how to behave and she also has the know-how in any circumstances which could be the definition of the Paule Ka woman.”

Paule Ka has just opened a New York showroom, and is now scouting a space on Madison Avenue, and its first store in Germany. New openings are also planned in China, Hong Kong, Korea, Russia and the Middle East.

But Cajfinger said his brand had a strong relationship with fashion-savvy Brits , saying at the launch: “We feel today is the best moment to develop our retail network.”
