Rolling Stones face fine for concert at The O2

The Rolling Stones are facing a fine of £200,000 because their concert at The O2 overran.
The band played the venue in Greenwich on Sunday night as the first gig of their historic 50 and Counting shows.
The veteran rockers - Sir Mick Jagger, Ronnie Wood, Keith Richards and Charlie Watts - were meant to finish at 10.30pm, but thrilled the 20,000-strong crowd by continuing to play encores until 11.05pm, meaning they will be given a huge fine.
Their agent Bernard Doherty told The Sun newspaper: “It means a big fine - but the guys just do their thing.
“There wasn’t a janitor standing there, jangling his keys, saying. ‘I want to go home.’ “
However, the fine is unlikely to upset the the Brown Sugar hitmakers as they are set to net over £1 million from the five gigs they are playing.
The group will play at The O2 again on Thursday before heading to the US, playing at the Barclay Center, New York City, on December 8 and the Prudential Center, New Jersey on December 13 and 15.
