Sally Bercow wants to take part in Strictly Come Dancing, in what would be latest stunt by the wife of the House of Commons speaker.
Mrs Bercow insists she should get a spot on the primetime show because she has “got the legs for it.”
And being married to John Bercow MP, the current speaker of Parliament, is unlikely to hold her back.
“I’d love to do it! I’ve got the legs for it. My dance experience is from clubbing in the 90s!”
Mr Bercow has been left red faced before, by his wife’s antics in the spotlight.
Last year, Mrs Bercow irked her august husband by taking part in TV show, Celebrity Big Brother.
She was locked inside a house and filmed around the clock in an episode which some complained undermined the dignity of Speaker Bercow’s office.
Previously, the speaker wife also appeared scantily clad in a magazine, draped only in a bed sheet with Big Ben in the background.
But a parliamentary career as a Labour MP remains a goal for her, revealed Bercow.
“Oh I would love, I would absolutely love to be a Labour MP, it would be a great honour.
“I would love to stand in the election as we need more female MPs and I do strongly believe that politicians should be allowed to have a past.”
“Only a very brave Labour Party would select me. I’ve got a past, I don’t toe the line perhaps as much as I should do.”
