Strictly Come Dancing: Louis admits “constantly” making mistakes in rehearsal

Olympian Louis Smith “constantly” makes mistakes in Strictly Come Dancing rehearsals.

The gold medal-winning gymnast, who is a favourite to win the competition, insists there is nothing “sexy” about his rehearsals with professional partner Flavia Cacace because they have to work so hard to get things right.

He said: “In training, we are constantly making mistakes. I’m treading on Flavia’s feet, she’s on the floor, I’m on the floor, we’re sweating and smelling ... It’s not very sexy!”

Smith always listens to what Cacace has to say and insists he doesn’t mind being worked so hard.

He added to Top of the Pops magazine: “I love Flavia, she is wicked. Even though training is hard, she’s got the personality where you just have a laugh. We’ll be messing around, play-fighting and giggling.

“Nobody disagrees - if Flavia says it’s not good enough, then it’s obviously not good enough.

“I don’t get any spare time - if I do have a moment I’m normally lying down on the floor, or on the sofa or against a wall ... just resting.”
