Old Spice Girl Mel B firmly slapped down band-mate Geri Halliwell’s suggestion for who should play her on the big screen – labelling it “racist.”
Ginger Spice said US star Jada Pinkett-Smith would be the perfect actress to portray her erstwhile band-mate.
Joining in the banter, Mel B jokingly responded: “Don’t be so obvious, that’s racist. Why would she have to be mixed race? Zoe Saldana, I want her.”
Nineties pop phenomenon the Spice Girls reunited in central London today to launch stage musical Viva Forever – featuring the band’s hits and written by Jennifer Saunders.
Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham, Mel C and Mel B gathered at the central London hotel where the video for debut single Wannabe.
