Music stars Sir Tom Jones, Van Morrison, Ronnie Wood and others are to play in London as part of BluesFest 2012.

Last year more than 16,000 music fans attended concerts by the biggest names in blues, jazz and soul, and the festival returns this year.

The Robert Cray Band kick off proceedings in London at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire on June 26.

Van Morrison will perform songs that inspire him at the Hammersmith Apollo on June 29.

An evening of music, curated by Rolling Stone guitarist Ronnie Wood, featuring some of his favourite musicians, will take place on June 30 at the Hammersmith Apollo.

A day later music legend Sir Tom Jones will be revisiting 2010’s acclaimed gospel and blues set Praise & Blame as well as showcasing material from his upcoming album.

House star Hugh Laurie will be returning to these shores to perform music from his globally acclaimed 2011 debut Let Them Talk on July 2.

Others featuring in the festival are John Hiatt, Eric Bibb, George Benson, Southside Johnny & the Ashbury Jukes, JJ Gray and Mofo, Government Mule as well as Mick Taylor and a mystery guest.
