Lauren Goodger says she feels good despite her elimination from Dancing on Ice on Sunday.
The former The Only Way is Essex star, who landed in the bottom two with Anthea Turner, expected to receive more support from her 1.1 million Twitter followers, but she “knew” she would lose when put up against the veteran TV presenter
She said: “I thought I was going to be fine because the fans are behind me, and I have great support on it [Twitter] but it didn’t save me, so .... and as soon as I was in the bottom two I knew I was going. I thought, ‘I’m done’.”
Lauren insisted she is not upset about losing her place on the ice skating show because she was really pleased with her performance on the ice after getting “stressed and upset” in the early stages of her training.
Speaking on ITV’s This Morning, she added: “I feel OK - I feel good. I’m not upset because I didn’t ruin my routine, I didn’t trip and I’m really pleased with my performance so that’s why I’m still smiling.”
“Its so full on, you have to be really dedicated and it’s a lot to take on but I’ve enjoyed it and it was a great experience as well so I can’t fault that ... [It was] mentally and physically draining, it was a lot to take on and you get really frustrated because you want to do well.
“There’s so much to think about and its completely new to me - I’ve never skated before.
“It was completely out of my comfort zone and the clips they showed of me getting really stressed and upset was because you want to do well.”
