It’s probably the singing policeman Antony Wolfson who is releasing his first single this week.

Sergeant Wolfson, a member of the City Police, is donating 15 per cent of the proceeds to the Victim Support charity.

“Being a victim of crime can have a devastating impact on lives,” he said. “I see this at first hand in my work as a policeman.

“But it’s great that I can combine my passion for singing with raising money for Victim Support.”

The 44-year-old, who has been singing since he was a teenager influenced by Elvis Presley and Neil Diamond, performed at one of his regular venues last year when he met Roberto Danova, producer and owner of Plaza Records who suggested he should record an original for worldwide commercial release.

Anthony, who is also an accomplished artist, having graduated from Central St Martin’s School of Art with a degree in Fine Art, followed his advice and produced the single ‘So Do I’.

Now Pol Sgt Wolfson, who gets married in September, has reached a three-way crossroad in life—whether to sing on, paint or continue on the beat.
