Breakfast will never be the same again after cereal, toast and even pancakes have been turned into ice cream flavours by a Soho restaurant.
Comboco is celebrating the belated arrival of British summer with the country’s first-ever breakfast gelato menu.
Described as ‘the ideal morning boost, hangover cure and inexcusably wicked way to start the day’, the D’Arblay Street gelateria will be selling a ‘cereal milk’ flavour, inspired by the sweet, starchy milk Americans are fond of adding to their breakfast bowls.
There will also be ice cream versions of pancakes and maple syrup, toast with whipped butter, frozen yoghurt with granola, a bloody Mary sorbet and a double espresso gelato.
Founded by former City worker Ashish Saggar, Comboco said it is leading the way in the ‘ice cream at breakfast’ movement, and the café is already famous for its eccentric gelato varieties such as avocado, pear and gorgonzola, scrambled eggs, and truffle oil and mushroom.
The breakfast ice cream costs £3 for one scoop, £3.50 for two scoops, and four will set you back £4.50.
