Police are appealing for witnesses after a car crashed into a lamppost.
The red Honda Civic was in collision with the pole and a ‘keep left’ bollard on The Avenue in Cranford at around 10.30am yesterday.
The 25-year-old female driver was taken to hospital by air ambulance to be treated for head injuries.
Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
The Road Death Investigation Unit (RDIU) at the Northolt Traffic Garage is investigating.
Scotland Yard said: “At this early stage it is understood that the Honda was travelling along The Avenue towards the mini roundabout at the junction with High Street.
“A bus was turning right on the mini roundabout and the Honda subsequently went left and collided with a lamppost, a ‘keep left’ bollard and the kerb of the opposite carriageway before coming to rest.”
Any witnesses call the Road Death Investigation Unit Witness Line on 020 8842 1817.
