Liberty is one confused dog – she’s a Staffordshire bull terrier who thinks she’s a pig.

With her little black spots, her penchant for rooting out treats and her imitation oinks, staff at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home noticed the four-year-old is less canine and more piggy after she arrived as a stray in October.

Rehoming and welfare assistant Nora Leniczki said: “Liberty is just like a little pig. She has clearly done her hamwork, as she looks the part with her pink skin and black spots, and she wags her tail into a curly frenzy. She also loves rolling on her back and snorting around for treasure on the floor, and when you come to play with her she gives you lots of hogs and kisses.”

Pigs are very intelligent animals, and Liberty is no different. She is a smart girl and loves to observe everything going on, and she does an impressive ‘sit’ and ‘paw’.

She is also a pro with a Kong, which is a hollow rubber toy stuffed with goodies.

Nora added: “She’s a great girl and we know our little Miss Piggy will make a wonderful addition to her new home.”

If you can give Liberty a loving home she deserves, call 0207 627 9234 or contact rehoming@battersea.org.uk
