Revellers flocked to Brick Lane on Sunday for the Vauxhall Art Car Boot Fair, which featured works from artists including Sir Peter Blake and Tracy Emin.
The fair, held at The Old Truman Brewery, enabled more than 70 artists to showcase pieces in the back of vintage cars.
Sir Peter Blake, designer of the legendary artwork for The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album, produced 250 special Jubilee prints which were snapped up for just £40.
Founder Karen Ashton, said: “The fair was launched in 2004 as a reaction to the art world taking itself too seriously. The Vauxhall Art Car Boot Fair is a chance to bring artists into contact with the public, and offer their work to a broader audience. It celebrates the frivolity and fun of art – with a slightly eccentric atmosphere.”
There was also a Handbag Disco, where DJs including Jarvis Cocker provided the soundtrack for dancers to grab handbags donated by celebrities including Vivienne Westwood, Lily Allen and Tilda Swinton.
Proceeds went to charity Just For Kids Law.
