Football bosses have vowed to keep their centre open despite the planned sale of a nearby sports hub in Dagenham.
Goals Soccer Centre, off the A13, made the announcement after it emerged the adjacent Goresbrook Leisure Centre was to be sold off.
The private football centre is run independently of the council leisure centre, which will be used for Olympic boxing training this summer.
Goals manager Chris Walton told the Post: “Despite the closure of the leisure centre, Goals will remain open and fully operational.”
